SMS Registration

Goal

To create a more secure registration process for Chop Chop to help reduce the amount of fraudulent users, without impacting the speed and user experience of registering.

Process

  1. Ran a session with the engineers to see which was more secure and easier to implement; email verification or SMS verification

  2. Sketched out various flows of how the SMS verification could work without impacting the speed and user experience of registration

  3. Created click through prototype using InVision

  4. Created high fidelity prototype using Principle to help portray the animation and interaction between pages

  5. Paired with the engineers to iron out the built design

In the new registration flow, the form field on each page is auto focused, so the user only needs to interact with the bottom half of the screen (keyboard + CTA)
